One of the best experiences I have ever had with an inspection. This is the 5th home I have purchased since 2005 and tried to buy 2 others, so have had 7 inspections in that time and this was hands down the best one. I have never had an inspection that included measuring the foundation level and using infrared on the walls to check for leaks or other issues, all for the same cost as a basic inspection with other companies. Darren the inspector was very thorough, explained everything clearly with the few issues that were found, he explained that due to the age of the house that some items were grandfathered in, he made recommendations for a few items that needed to be repaired, and was very professional and pleasant. With past inspections, the inspectors always made things out to be major dramas and because of their drama made my inspections very stressful. The inspection with Darren was not stressful at all. I will recommend Top 2 Bottom to anyone I know looking for an inspection and will use you again if I ever buy another home.

This is the second inspection John and his crew has done for me. I was not satisfied with the first inspection but he came out and fixed it right away. He was professional and objective and I appreciate that he does stand by his company and wants customers to be happy. The second report was much better and really needed no revisions although there were a couple items that I think may have helped if they were included. If you want someone who cares about his customers, I would say John is very good. With any inspector, I would go behind them and look, listen and ask questions. I've learned a lot. Chris did an excellent job! The seller was well informed of the inspection time but was at the house at when the inspection took place. Chris was very polite about asking her to step out so we can discuss the inspection in privacy. Chris walked us through the list at the end and explained all the issues in great detail and how to address them. I would like to point out that Chris checked the foundation with a special machine that allows for a plan to be provided. This plan allows you to see the movement in the foundation, if any, and how much it has moved. Thanks you Chris!
